About Base Construction Technologies, Inc.

Base Construction Technologies, Inc. and its affiliates serve the greater Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana areas by providing cost-effective, high quality full-depth reclamation.

Full-depth reclamation is a rehabilitation technique in which the full flexible pavement section and a predetermined portion of the underlying materials are uniformly crushed, pulverized or blended, resulting in a stabilized base course. Aggregate and asphalt cement are reused, helping to preserve natural resources.

The benefits of full depth reclamation make the process an overwhelmingly superior choice to total reconstruction, and include:

Reduced Cost
By reusing the existing roadway material, whether hot mix asphalt, chip and seal, cold mix or simple aggregate, the reclamation process is able to cut out material cost completely.

Faster Project Completion
Base Technologies' skilled employees and state of the art reclamation equipment help to speed up the rehabilitation process, saving time, energy, and customer cost.

Minimal Traffic Concerns
Most of the reclamation work done by Technologies does not require road closures; as a result, one or even two-way traffic is usually maintained during construction. In most instances, vehicles can run on the pulverized material following shaping and compaction.

Versatility
Full Depth Reclamation, in addition to yielding quality results on a range of structures, allows for cross-slope and profile corrections, minor roadway realignment, and widening in conjunction with the stabilization.

Longer Lasting Roads
The service life of a reclaimed road before substantial maintenance is generally about 50% longer than roads which are overlaid with equivalent HMA thickness. Cracking and rutting are substantially reduced on reclaimed roads and streets, while long-term maintenance costs also decrease substantially.
